Welcome to The Port Collection
As a lifelong teddy bear collector and enthusiast, I can confidently say that I am passionate about these little stuffed friends. From the moment I laid eyes on my first teddy bear as a child, I knew that they would always hold a special place in my heart. I love teddy bears and friends of all shapes, sizes, and colors, each with their own unique personality. Some are well-loved and tattered from years of play, while others are carefully displayed on shelves as treasured pieces of art. What I love most about teddy bears is the sense of comfort and security they bring. As a child, having a teddy bear to snuggle up with at night made me feel safe and protected. Even now, as an adult, holding a soft, fluffy teddy bear can provide a sense of calm in the midst of stress and chaos. But beyond their ability to provide comfort, teddy bears also have a rich history and cultural significance. They have been beloved by people all over the world for over a century, and have become symbols of love, friendship, and childhood.
It all started with my mother, Beverly Port, who instilled in me a passion and love for these adorable stuffed animals from a very young age. My mother's dedication and hard work in the teddy bear business were remarkable. She was an artist, collector, and dealer. She taught me all the ins and outs of the business, and I am forever thankful for her love and support. She was patient and kind, always taking the time to explain things in detail and answering all of my questions (and trust me, there were many). But it wasn't just her knowledge and experience that I appreciated - it was her unwavering support and belief in me.
It's not just a business to me; it's my family's legacy. It's the magical world of teddy bears, and I am thrilled to share my passion with you. Use the navigation to learn more, shop, sell, or connect with us at an upcoming event.
